Until a few years back, I used to believe that seeing is believing.  I knew there was something wrong with the idea but didn't exactly know what. However, during Ramadan (2 years back) I was hearing about Hazrat Suleman on TV which went on like this:  Allah had given him a miracle of being able to communicate to the beings in the other dimension i.e. to the jinns. He wanted to send message of Islam to the kingdom of Saba whose ruler's name was Bilquees.

Hazrat Suleman sent her an invitation to Islam but she didnt accept to it to which he said he would march to her kindom with an army. On hearing this, she said she would come to visit Hazrat Suleman. Hazrat Suleman, with the help of Allah, ordered jinn to build a palace of glass and even to make the floor of glass and place water and fish under it. It is said that when she came to visit, the glass of the floor was so clear that she raised her clothes to pass through it. But then realized it was glass and not water. She was overwhelmed by this fact and accepted Islam.
Bilquees accepted Islam because she realized that if her eyes cannot see a very clear glass which belongs to our physical world, how is it too see the things of the "ghaib" such as angels, heaven, hell?Just because she couldnt see God, didnt mean that He didnt exist.
Even i was overwhelmed when I heard this story. And since then, I have given up on the idea of trusting only my eyes for knowing the truth.

Even our ISA course instructor, Mohammad Saeed was teaching that in each second, the bulb that we see is on for 30 seconds and off for 30 seconds. This is to say that it keeps on switching on and off, on and off but its soo rapid that our eyes can only see it as being on all the time which is not. I was really surprised and shocked to hear this fact. And then I remembered that whenever I tried to take a video of a TV program through mobile videocamera, it would never come nicely and the screen seemed as if it was "blinking". Ofcourse, now I know why.  Something that an ordinary camera can "see", my naked eyes cannot. How much more am I gonna trust my eyes in showing me reality?

We can argue by saying that science has all the answers and it explains to us the reality, something which our physical senses cannot. For some of the things, Yes science can. But about the matter of the ghaib, should we trust science for showing me reality? No sciene has ever proved the existence of the human soul, the angels in the grave or even the seven skies above us but does that mean it doesnt exist? Science is and will always be one step behind religion and to understand religion and to know the reality, we have to look not through our  physical eyes, but through the eyes of the heart. Huma Najm was explaining today " Allah sent the quran directly on the heart of the prophet (S.A.W) He never used any of the physical senses of the prophet (p.b.uh) because if the medium gets corrupted, the message can get corrupt. Therefore, He revealed it directly on his heart"  Who knows us better than the Creater of our body, the Almighty Allah? the eyes of the body may lie but the eyes of the heart never does. This is from where we have to search for reality.
